About Institute
Vardhaman Education & Research Institute
Preserving Jain Heritage Through Education, Research and Knowledge
Vardhaman Education and Research Institute, Pune has been devoted to the study and research of Prakrit and Jain Studies for several years. The Institute works for the preservation, promotion, and propagation of Jain philosophy, language, and culture through education and research.
Since 2020, the Institute has been successfully conducting B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. programs in Prakrit and Jain Studies under the joint aegis of MIT ADT University, Pune, Vishwakarma University, Pune, Tikaram Jagannath College Affiliated Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and Jain University, Bengaluru

DIP
Diploma in Prakrit and Jain Studies
A foundational course covering Prakrit language, Jain history, and Agama Vidya alongside Hindi, English, and Sanskrit grammar. Designed for students beginning their study of Jain philosophy and literature.
UG
B.A. in Prakrit and Jain Studies
A three-year undergraduate program offering a solid foundation in Jain language, literature, and philosophy. Students develop core skills in textual analysis, translation, and academic writing.

M.A. in Prakrit and Jain Studies
An advanced postgraduate program emphasizing Jain philosophy, Agamic and post-Agamic literature, and comparative religious studies. Students build applied research skills and a critical, scholarly perspective.

Industry Visit
- Aagam Mandir Study Tour
As part of the study tour in Pune, all the students, teachers, and trustees visited and explored the temple. A unique and significant feature of the temple is that the complete Agam scriptures have been meticulously inscribed on gold plates, preserving these ancient Jain scriptures in a remarkable and enduring form.
- Suhana Masala Factory Visit
As part of the educational visit, the students, faculty, and trustees of Vardhman Jain Studies visited the Suhana Masala Factory to gain practical insights into the food-processing industry. The visit offered an enriching experience of understanding modern manufacturing, quality control, and packaging processes.
